Bicycle and Pedestrian Mobility Studies A common problem facing pedestrians and bicyclists in suburban settings is the inconsistent networks of sidewalks and bike facilities. A Bicycle and Pedestrian Mobility Study will evaluate the existing conditions by mapping all of the sidewalks and bike facilities in the determined study area, and identifying ways to make the needed improvements. Studies have been completed for: · Lower Providence Township · Pottstown Borough
Parking Studies Parking is often the most extensive form of land use in suburban settings. Many municipal land development regulations require vast amounts of land be used for parking with little to no consideration for actual parking demand. GVF can provide municipalities a comprehensive parking inventory that includes the total number of parking spaces, but also the size of the parking lots for a predetermined area. The inventory can be a valuable tool for reevaluating parking needs and requirements and can be used in the adoption of shared parking requirements. Inventories have been prepared for: · Upper Dublin Township
Transit Studies A transit study evaluates the current transit offerings in the municipality and identifies area that might be better served by transit. The areas may be served best by SEPTA, or alternatively by a local shuttle. The transit study is a great way for a municipality to learn more about the availability and frequency of the public transportation offerings. Studies have been completed for: · Lower Merion Township · Lower Providence Township · Whitpain Township
